Cruise Tips

High demand cruises book fast.  You should always book far ahead of time to ensure you get the best cabin for your money.  We usually book 1-3 years in advance depending the destination.  Try to book during Wave Season (Jan-March) when the cruise industry usually has discounted rates, or additional on-board credit. Black Friday deals are also a GREAT way to get a deal!  Once you book, transfer the booking to a Travel Advisor to see if they can offer additional savings or credits!

Most cruise lines offer "Book Now" or "Book Later" deals while on the ship.  This allows you to put down less of a deposit, and you can choose your next cruise while on the ship, or just take advantage on the on board credit offers by taking advantage of the "Book Later" option.  You can then choose your next cruise at a later date, put down much less of a deposit AND take advantage of the on board credit they offer for a future cruise.

ALWAYS transfer your cruise to a Travel Advisor!  Whether you book while onboard a cruise, or you book online, ALWAYS transfer your booking to a travel agent.  Usually TA's can get you additional on board credit, or pretty significant price reductions, depending on the current offers available to them to pass to you.  This was a REAL learning lesson!

ALWAYS book early.! Book at least a year in advance, and 2-3 years in advance for popular itineraries or repositioning cruises. Panama Canal cruises, for example, book fast since there are limited itineraries.

Understandable!  Some cruise lines offer a guarantee stateroom.  This means they pick the stateroom for you while YOU save money on the booking.  As long as you don't mind the location, and that you often times will not know which cabin you are getting until the last minute, THIS is the way to go!
